Pipistrel is currently developing a range of identity management and token authentication products for consumers. Based on recent standards for implementing one-time passwords and other token authentication algorithms in conjunction with an EMV chip-and-PIN credit or debit card, Pipistrel's ID-Pod family of devices will provide financial institutions with flexible, cost-effective solutions which can be customised to suit individual requirements.
The Pipistrel ID-Pod family of software applications, including MasterCard CAP SecureCode, is also available under license to OEM hardware manufacturers wishing to develop products for this market. Fully approved to all relevant standards, these applications can be provided as embedded firmware ready to run on a variety of low-cost microprocessor platforms, or as a complete single-chip solution ready for integration.
